Imperium Nova's first release of 2021 is a 2-track single by Alien Kontenaaier. The main track is a nasty piece of lo-fi electro funk with a thick growling bass and raging lead synth. The b-side is a reworked + extended version of "Running Rats", a chunky piece of acid house that originally appeared on Imperium Nova's Summer Sampler 2018.

A different version of Sludge Problem will also appear on Alien Kontenaaier's follow-up release, the Sewer EP.
